Sherwood “Shakey” Johnson loved ragtime music. He dreamed about having a place where his family and friends could get together, share some pizza and beer while listening - and often singing along – to favorite ragtime standards. So back in 1954 he scraped together his savings and opened the first Shakey’s Pizza Parlor & Ye Public House.

Walk into any Shakey’s Pizza Parlor today and you’ll find grandparents, parents and their children sitting around a family-size table sharing a meal, swapping stories, and reconnecting over Shakey’s famous Pizza, Mojo potatoes and crispy chicken. Dad’s enjoying a cold beer as he watches his favorite team take the play-offs on one of many flat screen TVs; mom enjoys a bit of “me time” while grandma and grandpa watch on as the kids entertain themselves in Shakey’s® dedicated fun zone.
